About us: Who is behind this site

Oscar H. Vera

holds a PhD. in economics and currently works as an independent consultant based in Mexico City. He has worked for the Mexican government as well as for leading Mexican and international companies. Among its recent positions, he was the executive director of the Center for Economic Studies of the Private Sector (CEESP), a leading economic think-tank in Mexico and Chief Economist for Mexico & Latin America for Deutsche Bank. He has published three books and numerous articles on economic issues.

Herbert Oberhaensli

holds a PhD in economics and currently works as head Economic and international Relations at Nestlé SA in Switzerland. Before, he has worked in a research institute of University St. Gallen and the Swiss ministry for Economics. He has published several books and a number of articles in scientific journals and other publications.
